HO CHI MINH CITY

Destination of Safety and Friendliness – A Hub for Global Outsourcing Software Testing

Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is located in the heart of southern Viet Nam between the northern edge of the Mekong Delta and the southeastern region of volcanic red soil. Ho Chi Minh City is intertwined with natural forests and vast plains with hundreds of rivers and canals coming together in the Saigon River.

Over the past three centuries, Saigon was praised as the, “Pearl of the Orient” and the “Paris of Asia” for its wide boulevards lined with stately trees and magnificent French villas. Its strategic location was an important trade center for Chinese, Japanese and Western merchants. Currently, Ho Chi Minh City, with a total population of over seven million, is the largest city in Viet Nam and a major hub for commercial, tourism and cultural activities.

In the past decade, the IT industry software testing and development industry in particular, has been growing at a dramatic pace, complimented by a surge in human resource and infrastructure investments. Ho Chi Minh City has been consecutively ranked in the top 5 of 50 Emerging Global Outsourcing Cities and the Top 6 of the Top Established Global Outsourcing Cities for Software Testing by Tholons/Global Services Media.
